I constantly heed this reminder when I’m feeling like it takes me longer than everyone else in the world to make my art and write my stories.
I have fond memories of staring at slugs with my cousin, Audrey. It took time to really take in all the slug’s details and how slow it really moved. Then, we’d get distracted and go play. But by the the time we came back to see the slug, it was looooong gone. It got somewhere. Slow and steady, but it did not stay stagnant. Every little slimy step added up!
